The Battenberg Hill (English; Bulgarian хълм Батенберг chalm Batenberg ) is a 166 m high and rocky hill on Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises 1.8 km east of Start Hill , 1.8 km south of Voyteh Point and 2.19 km northwest of Penca Hill in the Dospey Heights of the Ray Promontory on the Byers Peninsula .
Spanish scientists mapped it in 1992, Bulgarian in 2009 and 2010. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2009 after Prince Alexander Joseph von Battenberg (1857-1893), elected Prince of Bulgaria from 1879 to 1886 .
