Farmers Nordrath

The peasantry North Rath up to the 19th century, one of the lowest administrative units in the rural outskirts of Bergisch mayoralty Hardenberg in the district Elberfeld the administrative district of Dusseldorf within the Prussian Rhine Province .

The community encyclopedia for the province of Rhineland lists the villages and places of residence in 1888: An der Bach, Astrath , Besenöckel , Böcken , Braken (Velbert) , Brüggen, Buschhaus , Diekkothen , Diergarten , Dronsberg , Fahrenscheid , Fumfei , Häuschen, Hitzbleck, Holzhütte , Horst , Hülsenbusch, Huppertsberg , In der Heide , Jammann, Kahlen , Kaiser , Kamp , King , Kothen, Krüdenscheid, Krusen , Kurzbusch, Lappenhaus , Lappenheide , Lembeck , Naulbeck , Neuenkothen, Neuhaus , Nipshaus , Nordrather School, Oberste Tente, Schampen, Schleier , Schlipkothen, Schmalen , Schnapop , Siepen, Siepken , Stein , Steinkamp, Stopses , Thomashäusgen , Unterste Brüggen, Unterste Tente, Vorberg and Vorm Dönberg . At that time, 604 people lived in 69 houses in these places.
