The peasantry Voßnacken up to the 19th century, one of the lowest administrative units in the rural outskirts of Bergisch mayoralty Hardenberg in the district Elberfeld the administrative district of Dusseldorf within the Prussian Rhine Province .

Its geographical extent was almost congruent with the Vossnacken ridge of the natural spatial unit Vossnacken within the Bergisch-Märkisch hill country . In the spelling Vossnacken today a district of Velbert is referred to.

Before that, the farmers belonged to the lordship of Hardenberg in the Duchy of Berg . In the course of an administrative reform within the Grand Duchy of Berg , the mayor's office of Hardenberg was formed in 1808.

According to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district from 1832, the following subordinate towns and places to live belonged to the peasantry : Zu Schumanns , Zu Middeldorf , Zu Tackenhaus , Am Hosten , Am Knollen , Aufm Pollen , Aufm Ellerscheid and Am Singscheidt .

The municipality encyclopedia for the province of Rhineland lists the villages and places of residence in 1888: Bösees , Bohnenbusch , Braken , Brandenberg, Brandenbergshäuschen, Büschen, Egge, Eickelbeck , Elberscheid, Gauskamp , Große Heeg, Grünensiepen, Häusgen , Halbe Egge, Heide, Hitzberg , Höhe , Hösten , Hobbelshütte, In der Wünne , Klingelpütt, Knollen, Kommandeur , Krampen, Krampenhof, Lassa, Middeldorf , Morning Sun, Neue Heeg, Neuenhaus , Neuhauskothen, Kidney Court , Pollen , Bollard House, Prielshaus, Ridderhäuschen, Rolland , Schaafkanzel , Scherrenegberg , Schnied Schnorrkolben, Schumanns , Siepken , Singscheiderberg, Singscheiderhof , Steinbrück, Steinbrückerhäuschen, Stiefges , Stöcken, Straße , Strötershäuschen, Tackenhaus , Türkesheeg , Ulmesdahl, Vossnackerberg, Vossnacker Schule , Weinberg , Wewersbeck and Zereskothen. At that time, 974 people lived in 97 houses in these places.
