Baumsche Villa

The Baumsche Villa ( street address: Friedrich-Ebert-Straße 134 ) is a villa in the Wuppertal residential district of Arrenberg , in the Elberfeld-West district . It is located at the foot of the Nützenberg in the section of Friedrich-Ebert-Straße , which is classified here as Bundesstraße 7 .

Architecture and location

The two-storey villa was built in the classicist style between 1850 and 1869 . The building is covered with a gently sloping hipped roof .

The strictly symmetrical, five-axis street-side front is designed with a two-storey, three-axis central projection, which is covered by a triangular gable. The richly designed white facade is equipped with plaster structures and decorations. The north-eastern side was provided with a centered, elaborately designed two-storey porch.

The building is accessed on the southwest side via a two-flight external staircase. Here, on the western side facing away from the street, there is a much simpler extension with a slightly lower eaves and a square floor plan. Presumably the house staff used to be housed in this three-story extension.

The rear front no longer corresponds to its original condition; at a later point in time, a massive single-storey porch with a covered loggia built in a wooden structure was added.

history

The building, including the roadside enclosure, was entered as a monument on January 16, 1986 in the list of monuments of the city of Wuppertal.

The building was opened in the 1960s and 1970s as the Dr. Hoppmann used. From 2008 to 2013 a supplier of kitchen design was located in this house.

From 2015 to 2017, an association of various retail and service providers was represented in the Baumschen Villa.

CM Immobilienmanagement GmbH has been based in Baumschen Villa since December 2017.
