The Bayankol is located in the Tian Shan in Kazakhstan .
The 5841 m high mountain is 8.14 km north of Khan Tengri ( 6995 m ) on the opposite side of the Northern Engiltschek Glacier . The Bayankol forms the highest point of the Saryjas chain . To the west lies the Semjonow peak ( 5814 m ), east of the Kazakhstan peak ( 5761 m ). On the northern flank is the nutrient area of the Bayankol Glacier , which forms the headwaters of the Bayankol River .
