The Bayern-Park is a theme park in the district of Fellbach in the district partner churches of the market Reisbach in Dingolfing-Landau in Lower Bavaria. The park currently offers around 80 attractions on an area of around 400,000 m².

history

The park planned from 1978 was opened on August 2, 1985 as the Vilstaler Wildlife Park . At that time there was only a small playground for children next to the wildlife park .

From 1990 the expansion to the amusement park began and in 1991 it was renamed Bayern-Park. In 2004 another 150,000 m² were added to the original 250,000 m² of the park and the summer toboggan run opened. In 2007 a rafting facility was inaugurated. The white water rafting facility is the longest of its kind in Germany. In 2008 the park could count more than 300,000 guests.

On February 21, 2009, the founder and managing director of the park, Josef Hochholzer, died unexpectedly.

On August 21, 2011 the launch roller coaster Freischütz with 5 inversions from the manufacturer Maurer Söhne was opened. For 2012 it is planned to continue to thematize the railway after the eponymous opera Der Freischütz by Carl Maria von Weber .

For the 2014 season, Bayern-Park acquired three family rides from the German manufacturer Zierer : With the Thaolon Free Fall Tower , the park begins the new Thalonia themed area , which is to be expanded further in the coming years. The new king flight will replace the old wave flyer and the third novelty is a Kontiki. The season novelties are rounded off with a new pirate show.

In 2018, Bayernpark opened the 4D world novelty Stadlgaudi.

The Räuberwald playground was opened in 2019.
