Beat Balzli

Beat Balzli (* 1966 in Hamburg ) is a Swiss journalist .

Life

Growing up in Lucerne , Balzli studied economics and business administration in Bern and Paris and turned to business journalism after completing his studies . After various positions in Switzerland - at the Handelszeitung , the SonntagsZeitung and at Facts - he joined the Hamburg news magazine Der Spiegel in 2001 as an editor . From October 2010 to August 2013, Beat Balzli was editor-in-chief of the Handelszeitung . From 2013 he worked in the chief editor of the world group and, as deputy chief editor, was mainly responsible for Welt am Sonntag . At the end of 2016, he was appointed editor-in-chief of Wirtschaftswoche on April 1, 2017 .
