Beate Maxian (born August 22, 1967 in Munich ) is an Austrian author , journalist and presenter . She has lived in Vöcklabruck since 1995 .

Life

She first spent her youth in Bavaria and the Arab world, and later in Vöcklabruck and Vienna . She was best known for her detective novels, but also for the publication of film documentaries. She has been working in the television, print media and events sector since 1990, including for ORF productions.

Sir Roger Moore traveled to the Austrian Parliament to present her fairy tale book for children and adults, published in autumn 2007 - 2010 and even more nights , a children's book for UNICEF . Also in autumn 2007 the thriller Tödliche SMS , set in Vienna, was published, in 2011 the first part of her series with the superstitious journalist Sarah Pauli.

She is a member of the IG Authors Authors Austria, the syndicate of the authors' group of German-language crime literature and the Austrian crime authors. She was a member of the jury for the Friedrich Glauser Prize 2008. Maxian is the initiator and organizer of the first Austrian crime festival “Krimi Literatur Festival at”, founded in July 2007.

Beate Maxian is married to the musician Jeff and has two children.
