Beatrice Babin

Beatrice Babin (born May 12, 1964 in Munich ) is a German film editor .
Life
Babin successfully completed her film studies at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich in 1989 with a master's thesis on Federico Fellini . Between 1984 and 1994 he spent longer periods abroad in New York, Rome, Namibia, Brazil and Portugal. During this time she worked as a theater dramaturge and lecturer. Since 1996 Babin has worked as an editor for feature films, documentaries and video art films.
Among other things, she is an editing lecturer at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB) and a member of the German Film Academy . Since the summer semester 2020 she has shared the 100% professorship in Montage with Michael Palm at the University of Television and Film Munich .
