Cordula Kablitz-Post (* 1964 in Aachen ) is a German director , writer and film producer .

Life

Cordula Kablitz-Post studied German , English and theater studies in Munich and Berlin and has worked as a director, author and producer since 1989.

In 1995, together with Edda Baumann-von Broen, she founded avanti media , a Berlin-based company that specializes in the production of feature and documentary films. Among other things, avanti media produces the documentary series Mein Leben , Maestro, Faces of Europe and Through the Night with… for Arte and ZDF . Cordula Kablitz-Post directed several productions in these series. Through the night with ... was awarded the 2006 Adolf Grimme Prize . She directed the episode about Campino and the film about Markus Lüpertz for the ARD series Deutschland, your artists .

Cordula Kablitz-Post has worked frequently with Christoph Schlingensief since the 1980s . She directed the Talk 2000 and U 3000 projects . The documentary film Christoph Schlingensief - Die Piloten premiered in 2008 at the Hof International Film Festival and was shown in German cinemas in January 2009.

She also shot numerous music videos for bands such as Udo Lindenberg , Even Cowgirls get the Blues and Sven Väths The Third Room , as well as a commercial for JVC . She directed various short films and worked as an assistant director for feature films by Uwe Schrader and Thomas Brasch .

In 2002 she founded avanti media fiction GmbH. The first film from the company Sophiiiie! received the awards in the categories of best director and best actress for Katharina Schüttler at the Munich Film Festival . In addition, the film was awarded for best director at the Mediawave film festival in Hungary . The short film High Maintenance received the Student Academy Award in 2007 and was recognized as best short film at the Gen Art Film Festival , the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival and the Boulder International Film Festival . In 2016 she was awarded the Young Talent Award for her first feature film Lou Andreas-Salomé at the Emden-Norderney International Film Festival .

Cordula Kablitz-Post lives in Berlin.
