The Behlendorfer See is located near Behlendorf in the Lauenburg Lakes Nature Park west of Ratzeburg in southeastern Schleswig-Holstein . It has a size of 70 hectares and a depth of up to 15 meters. Its shore length is six kilometers. In the direct possession of the city of Lübeck until 1935, the lake has since been owned by the Heiligen-Geist-Hospital foundation in Lübeck through the exchange of goods . The island in the lake is a natural monument . On the south-western bank there is a bathing establishment with a jetty and diving tower. The lake is suitable for fishing for pike , carp and eel , the ASV Trave has fishing rights.
