The Beigang tourist bridge is 450 meters long and 6 meters wide. The three arches of the bridge are designed to imitate the body of a large dragon.

Beigang , also Peikang ( Chinese  北港 鎮  /  北港 镇 , Pinyin Běigǎng Zhèn , W.-G. Pei-kang Chen  - "northern port"), is a township (  /  , Zhèn ) in Yunlin County in Taiwan . The municipality located in the south of the district on the Beigang River has an area of ​​41.5 km² and 43,741 inhabitants (March 2009). Beigang was one of the oldest port cities in Taiwan, today the low water level of the river prevents commercial shipping.

Attractions

The temple in honor of Mazu , the Daoist goddess of the sea, attracts more than a million visitors annually. The temple was built in 1694 and is one of the oldest and most important temples of the goddess Mazu in Taiwan. The temple was last renovated in 2009.
