The Beilbach is a 17.1 km long orographic left tributary of the Axtbach in the North Rhine-Westphalian Münsterland , Germany .

geography

The brook rises about 2.4 km east of Ennigerloh as Merschbach at an altitude of 99  m above sea level. NN . It flows first in an easterly direction. After about 2 km of the river, the stream is called Geisterbach. It turns its course north. After another 3 km stretch of the river, the stream changes its name again and is called Beilbach. The stream reaches Beelen without touching any other villages and flows there on the left at 57.5  m above sea level. NN in the Axtbach .

Over a river length of 17.1 km, the brook overcomes a height difference of 41.5 m, which corresponds to a mean bed gradient of 2.4 ‰. The 46.093 km² area is drained to the North Sea via Axtbach and Ems .
