Bejo Dohmen (* 1984 in Dudweiler ) is a German actor .

Life

Bejo Dohmen grew up in his hometown of Dudweiler in Saarland . At an early age, at the age of nine or ten, he wanted to become an actor. After finishing school, he first trained as a media designer . In his mid-twenties he moved to Cologne , where he completed his acting training from 2008 to 2010 at the private "Film Acting School Cologne". Since then he has mainly worked for film and television.

Shortly after completing his training, he got his first small film jobs. By cutting demo tapes and taking acting photos, he was able to “stay afloat” financially in his early days in the film industry. In the short film Quirk of Fate - Eine Laune des Schicksals (2011), he played alongside Wotan Wilke Möhring . This was followed by small roles in various television series and TV series, u. a. in the RTL production Unter Uns (2012, as an HIV-infected "one-night stand" of the series character Micki Fink) and in the Saar-Tatort Melinda (2013, as store manager), an episode role in SOKO Cologne (2013) and guest appearances in Everything that matters (2014).

In the Sat1 format deployment in Cologne - Die Kommissare (2016) he embodied the police investigator Inspector Benjamin "Ben" Nowak. In the "cult" Saarland dialect series Unter Tannen he has been in front of the camera as "naive" forest worker Boris in one of the leading roles since 2016. In the 7th season of the ZDF series Heldt (2019) he took on one of the episode roles as the Ruhr area - "Sagenjäger" Andreas Probst.

He also worked in several international productions. For his role as SS officer Kaiser in the short film Kommando 1944 (2018) he was honored in September 2018 in Los Angeles at the Actors Awards and the Los Angeles Film Awards in the category "Best Supporting Actor".

Dohmen, who also worked as an advertising actor, has been giving acting workshops for children and young people in Cologne for over ten years. In 2015 he traveled to Los Angeles for the first time. In 2018 he moved to Los Angeles on an artist visa. Dohmen is a member of the Federal Drama Association (BBFFS) and a member of the American actors' union SAG-AFTRA and lives alternately in Los Angeles and Cologne.
