Marie Brand and the Girl in the Ring is the 13th TV film from the Marie Brand crime series . action

The young boxer Tarik Demir is found murdered in a sports hall. During their investigations, Commissioners Marie Brand and Jürgen Simmel find out that Demir, as a psychologist, worked with a number of violent criminals on a study on a possible anti-aggression effect of boxing. The convicted Sina Fink ( Natalia Rudziewicz ) was the last to be seen with Demir and is therefore the first to be suspected.

While searching for the suspects in hiding, Brand and Simmel meet the head of the psychological study, Professor Neu, who was also in the sports hall at the time of the crime. When Sina can finally be found, she accuses the professor of rape. This in turn accuses Demir of having raped Sina. In the following, Simmel investigates undercover in the boxing environment. His investigations and Marie Brand's analytical skills ultimately mean that the two inspectors can prove the crime to Professor Neu and establish Sina's innocence.

background

The shooting took place from September 2nd to October 2nd, 2013 in Cologne and the surrounding area. The editorial team at ZDF was Wolfgang Feindt.

Reviews

“The different worlds are short-circuited with little criminalistic and psychological sensitivity. Brand / Simmel do what they can. Whimsical, but irrelevant! "

- Rainer Tittelbach

“The crime series 'Marie Brand' with Mariele Millowitsch is part of the TV black bread. Nevertheless, the investigator occasionally comes up with positive surprises. This time it is 'The Girl in the Ring' that reflects the change in gender roles in a contemporary way […] Natalia Rudziewicz plays the young woman with the problem biography with impressive intensity. "

- Jürgen Overkott

“Natalia Rudziewicz delivered an extremely convincing performance, who came into the focus of the investigation as a suspicious petty criminal Sina and gave the role an impressive intensity. All in all, the latest episode of the Cologne chief inspectors offered solid entertainment without any great demands. "

- Christine Schmitt
