Bellbrook is an American city located in Greene County , Ohio .
It is part of the Dayton metropolitan area, the fourth largest metropolitan area in Ohio.

Bellbrook is located in the metropolitan area of Dayton metropolitan area and had an area of 8.1 km². Centerville and Xenia are in the neighborhood . The next major towns are Dayton and Kettering .
history
Settlers first settled in what is now the urban area in 1814. The name of the city comes from one of the city founders, Stephen Bell.
Originally Bellbrook had the status of a village, but this changed with the incorporation of the Sugarcreek Township in 1970. In 1974 Bellbrook was given the status of a town with then approx. 5000 inhabitants. Due to the creation of new building areas, the city has a population of 6943 inhabitants.
politics
Bellbrook is ruled by a Government Council Manager . This representation appoints the so-called city manager , who represents the committee as spokesman and takes on various tasks as an employee of the city. There is also a mayor who performs other tasks.
