The Belle Vue is a football stadium in the Welsh town of Rhyl . The Rhyl FC football club plays its home games here. Since August 2013, the sports facility has been sponsored by the Corbett Sports Stadium .
history
The stadium was opened in 1892 and has 3,800 seats; there are 1,720 seats. The sports facility has four grandstands. Two roofed grandstands along the playing field and a roofed back grandstand. The fourth audience tier is uncovered and is intended for the guest fans. The floodlight system consists of four masts on the side of the main stand with six spotlights each . In 2001 and 2002 two of the tiers were renovated and expanded. A tennis facility with eleven places is located in the immediate vicinity of the stadium.
On November 17, 2001, the Welsh national football team played against Belgium (0-2) a game of the World Cup qualification for the 2003 World Cup in the Rhyl stadium. The Welsh men's U-21 national football team also occasionally used the stadium for games.
