Bellechasse is a regional county municipality ( French municipalité régionale de comté, MRC ) in the Canadian province of Québec .
It is located in the administrative region of Chaudière-Appalaches and consists of 20 subordinate administrative units (13 municipalities and seven districts). The MRC was founded on January 1, 1982. The main town is Saint-Lazare-de-Bellechasse . The population is 34,429 and the area 1753.7 km², which corresponds to a population density of 19.6 inhabitants per km².
