Benjamin "Ben" Bartlett (born March 17, 1965 in London ) is a British composer .

Life

Bartlett became interested in music at the age of six. He studied musicology and composition at the University of London . Thanks to his good work, he received a scholarship to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama .

His first composition for television was the music for the BBC documentary Dinosaurier - Im Reich der Gianten . For this he was awarded the BAFTA award in 2000. He was also nominated for an Emmy . This was followed by compositions for The Story of Big Al and The Heirs of the Saurians , also on behalf of the BBC. He composed the music for the television series Vera - A very special case from 2011 to 2016. Bartlett's latest project is the musical accompaniment of the television series The Tunnel - Mord knows no borders .
