The Ben More ( Scottish Gaelic Beinn Mhòr , "Big Mountain") is a 966 meter high mountain in Scotland . He is on the Inner Hebrides belonging Isle of Mull in Argyll and Bute and is the highest peak on the island. The Ben More is the only munro on Mull and also the only munro on a Scottish island outside of Skye . It is located on the western Ardmeanach peninsula . The view from the summit is one of the best in the Inner Hebrides.
There are various opportunities for advancement. The easiest option is from the bank of Loch na Keal to the north through the Coire nam Fuaran, a three-hour walk. A more demanding ascent also leads from Loch na Keal over the sub-peaks Beinn Fhada and A'Chioch and the exposed connecting ridges in between. Since the rocks near the peaks are magnetizing , there may be deviations when using a compass .
