Benjamin Ondrus (born June 25, 1982 in Sherwood Park , Alberta ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Krefeld Penguins in the German Ice Hockey League since September 2011 .

Career

Ondrus played with the Swift Current Broncos during his junior years in the Western Hockey League . After being in a rookie camp of the Toronto Maple Leafs made a good impression, he got a contract for the farm team , the St. John's Maple Leafs , from the American Hockey League offered. Here he was able to convince and was first used in the 2005/06 season in the NHL. In July 2010 he was hired by the Edmonton Oilers , who use him in the farm team at the Oklahoma City Barons in the AHL. Ondrus has been playing with the Krefeld Penguins since September 2011 .
