Ben Payal (born September 8, 1988 in Luxembourg ) is a Luxembourg football player.

Career

Payal started with football at FC Lorentzweiler. Then he went to Jeunesse Esch's youth department .

There Payal played in the youth until 2005. Then he played in the first team and immediately became a regular. In 2007 he went to F91 Dudelange , where he was Luxembourg champion in 2008, 2009 and 2011. 2009 also Luxembourg cup winner. In 2013 he switched to competitor CS Fola Esch . After there were disputes over a new contract in Esch at the beginning of 2016, the midfielder was banned from within the club until the end of the season. He has been playing for FC UNA Strassen since the 2016/17 season .

National team

He made his first game for the national team on October 11, 2006 when he came on as a substitute for René Peters in the qualifying game for the European Football Championship in 2008 , against Bulgaria (0: 1) in the 61st minute . Payal was there in the sensational 1-0 victory over the favored Belarus . However, qualification for the European Football Championship 2008 was missed.

He was also there in qualifying for the 2010 World Cup . Payal was among other things in the surprising 2-1 victory over the favorites Switzerland . However, the qualification for the 2010 World Cup was also missed.
