Bendelin is a district of the municipality of Plattenburg in the Prignitz district in Brandenburg . In 2006/2007 Bendelin took part in the national competition Our village has a future and won a bronze medal. (first place 2006 in Brandenburg)

The place is dominated by agriculture and is located in the south of the Prignitz . The inhabited part of the municipality of Zichtow also belongs to the district of Bendelin .

history

The place Bendelin was first mentioned in 1431. It belonged to the legal area of ​​the Plattenburg . The Evangelical Church of Bendelin was probably built in the 14th century. The Bendeliner Imperial Oak may have been planted before the establishment of the German Empire (1813/14).

On December 31, 2001, Bendelin merged with seven neighboring communities to form the community of Plattenburg.
