Benito Lorenzi (born December 20, 1925 in Buggiano , † March 3, 2007 in Milan ), nicknamed "Veleno" (poison), was an Italian football player .
Career
Lorenzi started at his home club Borgo, was with Empoli in Serie B from 1946 and came in 1947 from FC Empoli to Inter Milan in Serie A. With this club he won the Scudetto in 1953 and 1954 . His debut at Inter was the 6-0 win against Alessandria on September 28, 1947; on July 12, 1958 at Como - Inter 0: 3, he ended his career at Inter (in 314 games he scored 143 goals) and then played another year at Alessandria in Serie A (25 games / 4 goals). As a national player, he played a total of 14 international matches for Italy from 1949 to 1954, scoring four goals. Lorenzi also took part in the 1954 World Cup in Switzerland . In 1959 he ended his playing career in the highest Italian football league.
