Benjamin Aggrey Ntim

Benjamin Aggrey Ntim (born January 16, 1942 ) is a university professor in Ghana and was Minister of Communication during the Kufuor government from 2007 to 2009 .

Ntim studied at Queen Mary College at London University . He graduated here in aerospace engineering , did his PhD and worked as an aerospace engineer and researcher at Rolls Royce Limited , England. He later became a lecturer in mechanical engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. After nine years as a lecturer, he moved to UNESCO in Paris as an engineering instructor. He worked for UNESCO as a scientific and technical advisor and later as Director of UNESCO in Pretoria, South Africa.

Dr. Ntim also taught at the University of Nairobi , Kenya and the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. He has taught and researched at Imperial College London and McGill University , Canada. At the University of Ghana he was an advisor to the Faculty of Engineering . It was in this position that President John Agyekum Kufuor became aware of him and in March 2005 appointed him Vice Minister of Communications. He became Minister of Communications on August 1, 2007, until he was succeeded by Haruna Iddrisu after the 2008 elections .
