Benjamin Lense (born November 30, 1978 in Lich ) is a former German soccer player .

He started playing soccer at SV Harbach in the Gießen district before moving to Eintracht Frankfurt via VfR Lich . Via Dynamo Dresden , where he played together with his brother Sascha, he came to the regional league for SV Darmstadt 98 . From there he made the jump to Arminia Bielefeld , where he played for two years in the Bundesliga and one year in the 2nd Bundesliga . Since the 2005/06 season he was active for 1. FC Nürnberg .

During the 2006 summer break, Benjamin Lense moved to Bundesliga promoted VfL Bochum , which he left for Hansa Rostock in the 2007/08 season . Lense was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga with Rostock in summer 2008; in March 2009 he was transferred to the reserve team of the Hanseatic League. For the 2009/10 season Benjamin Lense moved to TuS Koblenz . For the 2010/11 season he moved back to Arminia Bielefeld, where he signed a contract for two years. After a meniscus injury in the first half of the season and repeated knee problems, he only played two games this season. After the relegation of Arminia from the second Bundesliga as the bottom of the table in the 2010/11 season, he did not receive a new contract and decided to end his active career due to the many injuries.

In autumn 2002 he made the leap into the then newly founded team of the DFB in 2006 .

Lense has been the U15 youth trainer at DSC Arminia Bielefeld since the 2013/2014 season.
