Benjamin Walker (* 21st June 1982 as Benjamin Walker Davis ) is an American actor , who most recently as a lead actor of the film Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter , as well as Captain George Pollard in the film In the heart of the lake a larger cinema audience became internationally known.

Life

Walker was in Georgia , the son of a music teacher Jeannine Walker and the owner of a video store born Greg Davis. Since an actor named Benjamin Davis was already registered with the Screen Actors Guild , he adopted his mother's maiden name as his stage name . He attended Cartersville High School in Cartersville, Georgia, the Interlochen Arts Academy in Traverse City, Michigan, and the Juilliard School in New York City , which he graduated from in 2004.

Benjamin Walker got engaged in 2009 to Mamie Gummer , the daughter of Meryl Streep , and married her in 2011. On March 30, 2013, they announced their separation. In December 2015 he married the actress Kaya Scodelario , with whom he had been together for a year. November 2016 he had a son with Scodelario.
