The Benkowski Nunatak ( Bulgarian Бенковски нунатак Benkowski nunatak ) is a 450 m high and rocky nunatak on the northeastern foothills of the Breznik Heights on Greenwich Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises 1 km west-southwest of Bogdan Ridge and 0.6 km north of Parchevich Ridge . The Gruev Cove is east of him.
Bulgarian scientists mapped it in the course of surveying the Tangra Mountains on the neighboring Livingston Island between 2004 and 2005. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2006 after Georgi Benkowski (1843–1876), organizer of the Bulgarian April Uprising of 1876.
