Benno Strandt

Benno Strandt (* 1907 in Finkenwerder ; † 1995 in Hamburg ), known as "the texting taxi driver", was a poet, author and lyricist for songs, poems and stories in Low German , High German and Missingsch . He had his greatest successes with the texts he wrote for and with Richard Germer as a composer and interpreter . “Gor nich um Kümmern”, “Hering und Makrele” and “Sowas Dummes” are just a few of his works that have been included in the “Hamburger Liedgut”.

He also wrote for Heidi Kabel , Dieter Hallervorden , Maria and Margot Hellwig , Henry Vahl , Fips Asmussen and Heino .
