Benjamin Louis Fiedler (* in Berlin ) is a German pop singer who became known through the casting show The Voice of Germany .

biography

At the age of 13, Fiedler, who came from Hildesheim, began classical vocal training and later attended the vocational school for popular music in Hamburg. He plays the piano and guitar and is active as a solo musician in Berlin.

In 2007 he took part in a casting show for the first time, but dropped out of the sixth Popstars season early. In 2012, he made a second attempt with the new format The Voice of Germany . In the recorded battle round, he prevailed against Ken Miyao , who had already won pop stars with the band Overground nine years earlier . In his first live show he then performed the song Eiserner Steg by Philipp Poisel and was elected to the next round by coach Rea Garvey . Immediately after the show, the contributions were also available to download from Internet music providers. Fiedler achieved the best ranking of all candidates with 25th place in Germany. His choice of songs even ensured that the original by Poisel jumped to number 4 in the charts and thus achieved its best ranking. Poisels Lied made its debut in Austria and Switzerland and Fiedler was the only participant in both countries.

In the next round, Fiedler tried similar music and took If words were my language by Tim Bendzko . Despite the sales success, he failed again in the caller voting and Rea Garvey did not help him this time either, so that he was eliminated before the 12th final.
