Benthamiella longifolia is a plant type from the genus Benthamiella in the family of the nightshade family (Solanaceae).

description

Benthamiella longifolia is a Chamaephyte , the leaves of which are 10 to 16 mm long and 0.75 to 2.5 mm wide. The leaves are glabrous or bald, the leaf blade is widened at the base. The calyx is 4 to 7 mm long, tubular to almost bell-shaped and hairless. The crown is tubular, hairless and 9 to 15 mm long. The five stamens are almost the same length and do not protrude beyond the crown. The stamens are hairless and start in the upper half of the corolla tube. The ovary has a visible nectarium . The stylus does not protrude beyond the corolla tube.

distribution

The species is widespread in the steppes of Patagonia and occurs there in Santa Cruz .

The species was first described by Carlos Luis Spegazzini in 1897 .
