The Roman Catholic Diocese of Novo Mesto ( Slovenian Škofija Novo mesto , Latin Dioecesis Novae Urbis ) is in Slovenia located diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Slovenia , based in Novo mesto .

history

The diocese Novo mesto was founded on April 7, 2006 by Pope Benedict XVI. with the Apostolic Constitution Commodioribus condicionibus established from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Ljubljana and subordinated to this as a suffragan . The first bishop was Andrej Glavan .
