The diocese of Murska Sobota ( lat . : Dioecesis Sobotensis ) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Slovenia with its seat in Murska Sobota .

history

The diocese of Murska Sobota was founded on April 7, 2006 by Pope Benedict XVI. Established with the Apostolic Constitution Slovenorum fidelium ('The Faithful Slovenes') from ceding territories of the Archdiocese of Maribor and subordinated to it as a suffragan .
