Peter Štumpf SDB (born June 28, 1962 in Beltinci , Slovenia ) is Bishop of Murska Sobota .

Life

Peter Štumpf joined the order of the Salesians of Don Bosco . On 29 June 1990 he became the Bishop of Maribor Franc Kramberger to priests ordained.

On May 24, 2006 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . as auxiliary bishop in Maribor , as well as titular bishop of Musti in Numidia . The Bishop of Maribor, Franc Kramberger, donated him episcopal ordination on September 10th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Marjan Turnšek , Bishop of Murska Sobota, and Anton Stres CM , Bishop of Celje .

On November 28, 2009 Benedict XVI called him. to the bishop of Murska Sobota. The inauguration took place on January 10, 2010.
