Jurij Bizjak (born February 22, 1947 in Col ) is a Slovenian priest and bishop of Koper .

Life

Jurij Bizjak was ordained a priest on June 29, 1971 .

On October 30, 2001, John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Koper and titular bishop of Gergis . The bishop of Koper, Metod Pirih , donated him episcopal ordination on December 15 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Franc Kramberger , Bishop of Maribor , and Franc Rodé CM , Archbishop of Ljubljana . As a motto he chose Pogum, vse ljudstvo v deželi .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Koper on May 26, 2012.
