The Diocese of Celje ( Latin : Dioecesis Celeiensis ) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Slovenia with its seat in Celje .

history

The diocese of Celje was founded on April 7, 2006 by Pope Benedict XVI. Established with the Apostolic Constitution Varia inter munera from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Maribor and subordinated to this as a suffragan .
