Benthamiella skottsbergii is a plant type from the genus Benthamiella in the family of the nightshade family (Solanaceae).

description

Benthamiella skottsbergii is a Chamaephyte . The slightly fleshy leaves are 2 to 2.5 mm long and 0.5 to 1 mm wide. Their edge is hairy. The calyx becomes 2 to 2.5 mm long. It is tubular and hairy. The crown reaches a length of 5 to 6.6 mm, it is tubular to slightly funnel-shaped and hairless. The two stamens are identical, rarely even a single stamen is formed. The stamens do not protrude beyond the crown. The stamens are hairless and set more or less in the middle of the corolla tube. Up to two staminodes can be formed. The ovary has only a stunted nectarium . The stylus does not protrude beyond the crown.

The species was first described by Alberto Soriano in 1948 . The epithet honors Carl Johan Fredrik Skottsberg .
