Bepp Haas
Bepp Haas (actually: Josef Johann Haas ; born April 28, 1917 in Sachseln ; † December 11, 1996 there ) was a Swiss painter and graphic artist . He dealt with stained glass , woodcut , sgraffito , scratch drawing and fresco painting .
Life
Bepp Haas was born in Sachseln in 1917 as the son of Robert Haas-von Flüe (1887–1949) and Rosa Haas-von Flüe (1883–1982). He was married to Annarosa Haas-Gasser (1924–2011) from Sachseln, the couple had several children.
Works (selection)
Bepp Haas created many glass windows, such as the coat of arms for the glass windows of the Melchsee Chapel . He created full-page woodcuts for the 1960 edition of the publishing house Luzern Schweizer Volks-Buchgemeinde of the book by Jeremias Gotthelf : How Uli the farmhand becomes happy. A gift for servants and foremen.
