Obwalden Culture Prize

The Obwalden Culture Prize is the highest cultural award in the canton of Obwalden .

Allocation mode

The award, endowed with CHF 5,000, has been awarded by the Obwalden government council since 1969, usually every three to four years; it is not awarded. The prize is awarded for special services to cultural values ​​and artistic creation. In particular, the prize is to be awarded to a work that has had and still has a fruitful influence on cultural life in the canton of Obwalden.
