Adrian Hossli
Adrian Hossli (born February 27, 1943 in Zurich ) is a Swiss painter , sculptor , set designer , theater director , cultural worker , exhibition initiator and art teacher .
Life
Adrian Hossli grew up in Stans from 1943 to 1960 . From 1960 to 1965 he attended the Stella Matutina Jesuit College in Feldkirch ( Austria ), where he graduated with the Matura . There he already worked as a set designer at the school theater. From 1965 to 1969 he graduated from the Zurich School of Applied Arts in Heinrich Müller's class, where he obtained his drawing teacher diploma. From 1970 to 1978 he worked at the literary school in Zurich, the Aarau Cantonal School , the Schiers Protestant Middle School and the Schaffhausen Cantonal School .
From 1978 to 2011 he taught at the Obwalden Cantonal School in Sarnen . There the school theater experienced a heyday under his direction from 1979 to 2008. He also worked as a director and set designer at the St. Fidelis College in Stans , the Schwander Theater, the Theater an der Mürg (Stans), the Theater Sarnen, the Theater Sachseln and the Theater in der Turbine in Giswil .
Since 1997, Hossli has been organizing art exhibitions with like-minded people in the disused turbine hall (Unteraa headquarters) of the Lungerersee power plant in Giswil. In 2004 the Turbine Giswil exhibition group was launched.
2003 Hossli starred in the movie Fremds Land of Luke Gasser the role of Prince Maximilian.
Hossli is a member of the Obwalden Cantonal Art Commission and Art Meeting 13.
Exhibitions
Hossli exhibited his works in the Galerie Fourmière Zurich, in the Sigristenkeller Bülach , on the Landenberg Sarnen, the Kunsthaus Zurich, in the Kunstmuseum Luzern, in the Spritzenhaus Sarnen, in Buochs, in the Chäslager Stans and in the Pfluggalerie Ennetmoos .
