Beresowa Rudka (Ukrainian Березова Рудка ; Russian Берёзовая Рудка / Berjosowaja Rudka ) is a village in the northwest of the Ukrainian Poltava Oblast with 1900 inhabitants (2001).

In the village founded by Hetman Ivan Skoropadskyj in 1717 , which was visited several times by the Ukrainian national poet Taras Shevchenko , there is a memorial in his memory as well as the Sakrewskych Castle ( Садиба Закревських ) with an adjoining park and the Sakrewsky pyramid inside it Platonovich Sakrewsky.

Beresowa Rudka is the administrative center of the eponymous district municipality in Rajon Pyriatyn to even the villages Krjatschkiwka , Wetschirky ( Вечірки ) and Marjinske ( Мар'їнське ) belong.

The village is located north of Highway M 03 on the banks of Perewid ( Перевід ), a 68 km long tributary of the údaj and is located about 210 km northwest of the Oblastzentrum Poltava and 28 km northwest of the Rajonzentrum Pyriatyn .

Personalities

The Ukrainian poet and songwriter Dmytro Lutsenko was born in the village in 1921 .
