The mountain is a hill at 691 m above sea level. NHN Höhe on the eastern edge of the Schneeberg massif , immediately west of the village of Birk , a district of the city of Weißenstadt in the district of Wunsiedel in the Fichtel Mountains (northeast Bavaria). The population did not give the mountain a name and in old land maps it is also only called “mountain”. The land on the mountain is mainly used for rural agriculture.
To the west of the hill is the village of Meierhof, where the Birkenbach flows around the mountain. The village of Birk is an elongated village with green fields on which the former schoolhouse stands. The Zeitelmoos borders the mountain to the southeast . The old road from Wunsiedel to Weißenstadt ran through the village of Birk .
