Bergheim-Müllekoven was a municipality in the Siegkreis that was assigned to the Sieglar mayor's office from 1816 to 1927 . Bergheim and Müllekoven have been two districts of Troisdorf in the North Rhine-Westphalian Rhein-Sieg district since 1969 .

history

Wonderfully country , the region formerly belonged to Duchy of Berg . As an early form of communities, honors emerged in the Middle Ages , which were an amalgamation of the residents of individual farms and the villages that were forming. According to a list of the court situation in the Duchy of Berg in 1555, Bergheim and Müllekoven together formed an honor.

After the Kingdom of Prussia was awarded the Rhineland at the Congress of Vienna in 1815, the two villages formed the independent rural community of Bergheim-Müllekoven, which was administered by the Sieglar mayor in the Siegburg district , which was newly created in 1816 . From 1845 on, Bergheim-Müllekoven had an elected council that also elected the councilor.

  • On April 1, 1927, the Bergheim-Müllekoven community was incorporated into the Sieglar community .
  • On August 1, 1969, the Sieglar community was dissolved under the Bonn Act and incorporated into the city of Troisdorf.

Statistics 1885

In addition to the church village Bergheim with 1149 inhabitants in 236 houses, only the village Müllekoven with 439 inhabitants in 95 houses belonged to the community.

The Bergheim-Müllekoven community had a total of 1588 inhabitants in 1885, who lived in 331 residential buildings; 827 of the residents were male and 761 female. The parish was predominantly Catholic with 1569 believers and belonged to the parish of St. Lambertus in Bergheim; in addition, 19 citizens belonged to the Jewish faith.

In 1885 the community had an area of ​​612  hectares , of which 314 hectares were arable land, 10 hectares were meadows and 179 hectares were forest.
