Birhane Dibaba (born September 11, 1993 in Moyagajo ) is an Ethiopian marathon runner .
Career
On October 6, 2012, Birhane Dibaba won the Valencia Marathon with 2:29:22 h. In 2013 she finished third in the Frankfurt Marathon with 2:23:01 h. The 2014 Tokyo Marathon was her next run and with 2:22:30 h she came in second.
In 2015 she won in Tokyo with 2:23:15 h and in 2018 she was able to repeat her victory there.
In April 2019, the then 25-year-old finished ninth in the London Marathon in 2:25:04 h . In December, after 2:18:46 h, she finished third in the Valencia Marathon with a personal best .
