Mauricio Nanni , full name Mauricio Daniel Nanni Lima , (born July 12, 1979 in Montevideo ) is a former Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.78 meter tall goalkeeper Nanni was at the beginning of his career from the Apertura 1998 up to and including the Torneo Clasificatorio 2004 in the squad of the professional team of the Montevideo Wanderers . During this period he is said to have played 149 games. He then joined the Spanish first division club Racing Santander . However, he was not used there in the league in the 2004/05 season. Only in the two matches of the Copa del Rey on October 27, 2010 against Amurrio and on November 10, 2004 against Real Valladolid , he ran for the Spaniards. In the mid-season 2005 he was again under contract with the Montevideo Wanderers. There he is said to have completed 14 first division games. In the 2005/06 season he played again in Spain. This time Racing de Ferrol from the Segunda División was his employer. He was first used there on April 8, 2006 against Real Madrid Castilla . His fourth and last second division game for the club he played on June 17, 2006 against Eibar . In the Apertura 2006 he was in the ranks of the Honduran club CD Marathón . Then followed in the Clausura 2007 an engagement with Defensor in the Primera División , in which three first division appearances are recorded for him. In the Clausura 2008 he is listed as a player in the Club Atlético Bella Vista , also based in Montevideo . At this station, 14 first division meetings are reported. In the seasons 2008/09 and 2009/10 43 appearances with Niki Volos in Greece are recorded for him. In the 2010/11 season, he again joined the Montevideo Wanderers. In 2011 he moved to Argentina to CA Independiente . In 2012 he returned to Uruguay and made 15 top division appearances for Club Sportivo Cerrito . In the same year a second career station followed at Bella Vista. There he ran nine times in the Primera División in the 2012/13 season. In early November 2013, he then joined Villa Española and rose with the club in the 2013/14 season from the top amateur class to the Segunda División. In the second division season 2014/15 he played 26 league games. He then ended his active career and took over the position of sports coordinator at Villa Española.

National team

Nanni was also part of the Uruguayan U-20 team . He was part of the squad at the U-20 South American Championship in 1999 , when Uruguay finished the tournament as runner-up South American champions. Nanni was also a member of the Uruguayan senior team . He completed his only international match under Gustavo Ferrín on February 4, 2003 in a 1-1 (4-2 on penalties) in the final of the Carlsberg Cup in Hong Kong against Iran.
