The Bering Nunatak is a 1450 m high nunatak in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises east-southeast of Mount Carrara in the Sky-Hi-Nunatakkern .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it after the American physicist Edgar A. Bering from the University of Houston , who carried out studies of the high atmosphere on the Siple station between 1980 and 1981 .
