Kaschan's poems have been published since 2008 in the magazine Värske Rõhk ('Fresh Print'), which is dedicated to young literature . However, her book debut did not come until 2016 with a narrow volume of poetry, which was highly praised by critics and compared to Betti Alver . It was emphasized several times that the comparatively long time span between the first published poems and the first book had benefited the quality of her poetry by attesting to her debut a “mature stylistic handwriting”. Her second volume of poetry, the title of which refers to the making of the stars, as her poet colleague Andrus Kasemaa explains in his review, was also well received. “God is on paternity leave, the cherubs have disappeared into the depths of the open plan offices. The morning shift is over. [...] Kaschan takes on the role of the little creator and creates her own world of words, it is cheerful and rhythmic and fits in wonderfully with what the Great Creator has created. "

In her literary work, she is one of the few in Estonia who deals with the literature of the southern neighbor; she also examined foreign influences in contemporary Estonian literature.
