Berke Özer (born May 25, 2000 in Konak in the province of Izmir ) is a Turkish soccer goalkeeper who has been under contract with Fenerbahçe Istanbul since July 2018 .

Career

society

Özer was born in Konak , a district and at the same time a district of the western Turkish city ​​of Izmir . Club football began here in the youth of Bucaspor and then played for the offspring of Altınordu İzmir .

For the 2016/17 season he received a professional contract, but continued to play for the youth teams of his club. It was not until the second half of the season that he was involved in the training of the Altınordus professional team, and finally he was given the opportunity to make his professional debut on April 19, 2017 in the league match against Boluspor .

For the 2018/19 season, Özer moved to Fenerbahçe Istanbul . Apart from one game in the cup, he was only used in the U-21 team there in the 2018/19 season.

In mid-July 2020, he was loaned to the Belgian second division KVC Westerlo for the 2019/20 season. There he was due to a short injury break in 22 of 28 games of the season in goal. At the end of June 2020, the loan was extended by one year.

National team

Özer started his national team career in February 2015 with an assignment for the Turkish U-15 national team. After another use for this selection, he went through successively the Turkish U-16 national team and U-17 national team . With the Turkish U-17 he took part in the U-17 European Championship 2017 and reached the semi-finals with her.

After he knew how to convince with the Turkish U-17 national team at the U-17 European Championship in 2017, at the age of 17 he was nominated for the Turkish national team by national coach Fatih Terim as part of two A international matches in June 2017 .
