Bernard Haller (born December 5, 1933 in Geneva ; † April 24, 2009 there ) was a Swiss actor and comedian .
Life
Haller began studying veterinary medicine , which he broke off and moved to Paris , where he appeared as an actor on cabaret stages and in circuses.
He was a co-founder of the Le Moulin à poivre theater stage in the Geneva Hotel Calvy. Until 1971 he went on tours with Jacques Brel , Juliette Gréco and Marlene Dietrich , which took him to South and Central Africa , England , Canada and the USA .
In 1971 he presented his first own cabaret program Et alors? at the Geneva Théâtre de Poche. Five other programs followed by 1994, which he also showed in German-speaking Switzerland . In addition to his witty language - he called himself a “melan comic” (mélancomique) - his hallmarks were especially his noise imitations. He acted as an actor in over 70 television and cinema films; he also worked on the script for two films. His work is also documented on records and in his book Dits et inédits from 1981.
In 1972 he received the Prix du Brigadier , in 1975 the Prix dramatique of the French Société des auteurs et compositeurs and in 1983 the Grand Prix de l'humour .
