Bernard Haller (born December 5, 1933 in Geneva ; † April 24, 2009 there ) was a Swiss actor and comedian .

Life

Haller began studying veterinary medicine , which he broke off and moved to Paris , where he appeared as an actor on cabaret stages and in circuses.

He was a co-founder of the Le Moulin à poivre theater stage in the Geneva Hotel Calvy. Until 1971 he went on tours with Jacques Brel , Juliette Gréco and Marlene Dietrich , which took him to South and Central Africa , England , Canada and the USA .

In 1971 he presented his first own cabaret program Et alors? at the Geneva Théâtre de Poche. Five other programs followed by 1994, which he also showed in German-speaking Switzerland . In addition to his witty language - he called himself a “melan comic” (mélancomique) - his hallmarks were especially his noise imitations. He acted as an actor in over 70 television and cinema films; he also worked on the script for two films. His work is also documented on records and in his book Dits et inédits from 1981.

In 1972 he received the Prix ​​du Brigadier , in 1975 the Prix ​​dramatique of the French Société des auteurs et compositeurs and in 1983 the Grand Prix de l'humour .
