Bernd-Ulrich Kettner

Bernd-Ulrich Kettner (born October 1, 1939 in Braunschweig ) is a German linguist .

Life

Kettner attended the Pestalozzistraße elementary school from 1946 to 1950 and then the Wilhelm Gymnasium in Braunschweig until 1959 . From 1959 to 1968 he studied German and history at the University of Göttingen for teaching at secondary schools; In 1962/63 he spent a semester abroad at the University of Groningen , where he also studied Lower Saxony and worked at the Nedersaksisch Instituut . In 1968 he passed the first state examination in Göttingen and was awarded a Dr. phil. PhD ; The subject of his dissertation, supervised by Heinrich Wesche , was the river names in the upper and middle line . From 1969 Kettner taught at the University of Marburg : 1969 to 1970 as a research assistant, 1970 to 1972 as an academic adviser and from 1972 to his retirement in 2002 as a professor of German linguistics.
